AccessNordBot is the accessibility scanner run by AccessNord, a service of Ebud AB, Sweden. If you saw this address in your server logs, this page explains what the bot did.
How it identifies itself
AccessNordBot/1.0 (+https://accessnord.com/bot)
What it does
- Loads a few public pages, usually the home page, one collection page and one product page.
- Checks them for WCAG 2.2 AA accessibility issues, the same kind of check a browser extension does.
- Follows your robots.txt rules.
- Visits one store at a time with a pause between stores, so the load on your site is very small.
What it never does
- Log in, add items to a cart, check out or submit forms.
- Collect customer data or personal data.
- Try to get around access controls.
How to stop it
Add this to your robots.txt:
User-agent: AccessNordBot Disallow: /
